Subjunctive Verb Mood
This a very rare verb mood. It represents a hypothetical state. This may include a wish, desire or imaginary situation. They are mire complex than the other verb moods. Five hundred years ago, the English developed the subjunctive verb mood. The subjunctive verb mood most commonly is used with the words "would" and "could".
