Participles
What are Participles?
Participles are verbs that act as adjectives and end with "ing" when used in present tense, and end with " ed, d, t, en, or n " when used in past tense. They can also be used as action verbs and form several verb tenses. This occurs when the participle is used with helping verbs, and therefore it is sometimes difficult to differentiate between gerunds and participles.
Participles:
Ex 1: The dancing monkey was funny.
Ex 2: The falling car was about to fall into the river.
