The University of Georgia was established on January 27, 1785 in Athens Georgia. This college is important because it was the first charter school in the United States. The federal government gave 40,000 acres of land to build the UGA campus. The General Assembly chose Abraham Baldwin as the president of the college. This is because he wrote the land grant for the college. This college is important because he was a signer of the Georgia Constitution.

Louisville
Louisville Georgia was the third capital of Georgia. It was located in the east, and was one of the most important capitals. This is because of the the many historical events that took place. They include the Yazoo Land Fraud and Indian Trade post. It was named for King Lois XVI of France. He provided a large help in the American Revolution. It was the first permanent capital of Georgia.

These two protestant religions were the domination of Christianity in the United States. This was because of circuit riders. These were priests who traveled all over Georgia and other colonies to spread their religion. They traveled by horse to get to their locations, and set up churches in many areas in the thirteen colonies.These circuit riders would come together to form preaching circuits. They were important in the spread of the two most dominating Christian domination in the United States.
