Complex Sentences
A complex sentence is composed of an independent clause joined by one or more dependent clauses. These sentences must contain a subordinate conjunction in order to be a complex sentence. Some examples of subordinate conjunctions are "after, although, because, and how".
Complex Sentence:
The blue represents the subordinate conjunction, the purple represents the subject, and the orange represents the verb.
